SSE Luncheon for H.E Dahir Shire Maxamed
On August 30th, 2025, the Somali Society of Engineers (SSE) had the honor of hosting a special luncheon to welcome the Somali Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, H.E. Dahir Shire Maxamed. The event brought together Somali engineers, industry professionals, and community leaders for an afternoon of meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and shared purpose. SSE 2024 Conference - 10/31/2024
The Somali Society of Engineers held their first membership conference in 10+ years. An amazing turnout of more than 60 Somali Engineers and Students showed up for a night of networking, celebration and educational speakers. Speakers included notable members of the Somali Engineering Community such as Eng Rashed Gulaid PE, Eng Mohamed Salah PE, Eng Ayan Osman, Eng Jamal Abdullahi MBA, PMP, Eng Sandol Khalaf, Eng Ahmed Omar PE, Eng Najmo Aden and Eng Abikariim Nur. Special thanks to Amiin Harun, JD, for facilitating and MCing the event.
